PGA – 2019 Sony Open – Weighted Consensus

Welcome to the Weighted Consensus for the PGA where we publish a more in-depth version of the PGA Consensus rankings that take into account each expert’s current DailyOverlay score to generate a Weighted Consensus ranking.

To calculate the Weighted Rank Score, each expert’s DailyOverlay score is weighted on a sliding scale from 1 to 5 with the top expert in the current standings being weighted with a five while the last place expert is weighted with a one. If you have ever wondered how to differentiate between two players who were both selected by the same number of experts, then this is the list you need. We will include all players that are selected by at least two.

NBA – What If – Wednesday (January 9)

Wednesday’s 10-game slate has plenty of injury news to track that could open ups some deep value options. This article will attempt to list all of the relevant injury situations to monitor for the day’s NBA slate and provide guidance on which players will benefit with either an increase in minutes or usage or both […]

NBA – Hot Sheet – January 9

Wednesday’s 10-game NBA slate could be a doozy! There might be a ton of cheap value options depending on injury news which could make it a big-time “Stars and Scars” night with superstars like James Harden, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Anthony Davis and Joel Embiid on the slate. So, keep an eye on the situations in Phoenix, Washington, Dallas and Atlanta which could open up opportunities for players like De’Anthony Melton and Josh Jackson, Sam Dekker, Jalen Brunson and Jeremy Lin respectively.

The grid below is a snapshot of today’s slate that shows the overall rating for each position for each team. The numbers highlighted in red are in the top 25% of their position for the slate and indicate good plays. Meanwhile, the numbers highlighted in blue are the positions that are in the bottom 25% of their respective position for the slate and are positions to avoid.

NBA – What If – Tuesday (January 8)

Tuesday’s eight-game NBA slate has a few spots to keep an eye on for injury news as we close in on tipoff. The main places to watch include the Pacers who have numerous players questionable and the status of Devin Booker which could both open up some value options along with additional usage for some […]

NBA – Hot Sheet – January 8

There is a solid eight-game slate in the Association on Tuesday night. Be sure to watch the injury reports throughout the day, especially for the Pacers who have numerous players questionable in a great matchup against the Cavaliers. Three teams come in as a double-digit favorite (Raptors, Warriors and Pacers) and there are three games with a Vegas total over 230 and a couple more in the high 220s, so it could be a high-scoring night in the NBA and DFS.

NBA – What If – Monday (January 7)

Welcome to the first NBA What-If article of the NBA season. Now that the NFL is winding down, I will try to get the What-If article up every weekday when there are at least four games on the slate. We have a few players already ruled out for Monday’s eight-game slate. This article will attempt […]

NBA – Hot Sheet – January 7

Monday brings an interesting eight-game slate in the Association. All eight games have a Vegas total between 213 and 223 points with only one game featuring a double-digit favorite (Blazers over Knicks), so look for ownership percentages to be quite spread out on the slate. We could also be forced into a more balanced lineup construction since as of this writing there aren’t many deep discount value options opening up.

NBA – Hot Sheet – January 4

It should be a fun weekend of sports including Friday’s 10-game NBA slate to start it off. The slate features a variety of strong options to choose from including a bunch of centers including a couple that didn’t make my list such as Marc Gasol and DeAndre Ayton. There is also plenty of value options and I have no problem pivoting away from the highest priced studs on the slate to build a more balanced lineup for this slate.
