MLB – On the Hill – Tuesday (July 30)

I have a sense that Tuesday’s 14-game MLB slate could be a wild one. The trade deadline is fast approaching so we will need to watch closely to make sure there aren’t any last-minute scratches. We might also be able to take advantage of some of the players on the trading block as they might have one more big night for their soon-to-be former clubs. There appears to be some obvious matchups to stack and you might have to eat the chalk on this slate.

MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – July 29th

We have a seven-game MLB slate on tap for Monday night and the Expert Consensus list is long with nine pitchers and eight stacks. Find out who the top analysts recommended the most often to try to whittle down the list into the top plays of the night.

The Weighted Consensus for the MLB is where we publish an in-depth version of rankings every day that considers each expert’s current DailyOverlay score to generate a Weighted Consensus ranking.  To calculate the Weighted Rank Score, each expert’s DailyOverlay score for hitters and pitchers is weighted on a sliding scale from 1 to 5 with the top expert in the current standings being weighted with a five while the last place expert is weighted with a one. This method gives the higher rated experts picks more weight when compiling the overall player rankings for the day. We will include all players that generate a Rank Score of at least 8.0.

MLB – On the Hill – Monday (July 29)

Monday night’s seven-game MLB slate comes down to a question of: How much exposure do you want to the Dodgers/Rockies matchup at Coors Field? In Cash games, I’ll take a balanced approach and get some of the more reasonably priced options from that matchup while still plugging in a pitcher (or two) that I have some confidence in. However, in GPPs I think you should either take the all-in approach and stack up the game with a cheap arm or the all-out approach and get a higher-priced pitcher (or two) and fade the matchup completely.

MLB – On the Hill – Friday (July 26)

There are 14-games on a Friday night MLB DFS slate. I’m going to be pretty chalky with my hitter stacks on this slate but will try to get a cheap, low-owned pitcher who I think can make a difference in GPPs and maybe even Cash game lineups on two-pitcher sites. Let’s start off the weekend with a bang!

MLB – On the Hill – Thursday (July 25)

There is just a small six-game MLB slate on tap for Thursday night. As such, there are very limited pitching options available with the top two aces on the slate dueling in the Windy City. Which one of those aces you roster to anchor your lineup could be the difference between winning and losing on Thursday night.

MLB – On the Hill – Wednesday (July 24) – Main

Wednesday features a split slate of MLB action including an eight-game night slate which will be the focus of today’s “On the Hill” recommendations. It feels like a night to pay up for pitching with some iffy options in the mid and low range. To accomplish this, we will need to find some inexpensive stacks, which I believe a few are available with some upside to consider. Let’s get over the hump with some MLB DFS!
