PGA – 2017 The Players Championship – Weighted Consensus

Welcome to the Weighted Consensus for the PGA where we publish a more in-depth version of the PGA Consensus rankings that takes into account each expert’s current DailyOverlay score to generate a Weighted Consensus ranking.

To calculate the Weighted Rank Score, each expert’s DailyOverlay score is weighted on a sliding scale from 1 to 5 with the top expert in the current standings being weighted with a five while the last place expert is weighted with a one. If you have ever wondered how to differentiate between two players who were both selected by the same number of experts, then this is the list you need. We will include all players that are selected by at least two.

Be sure to sign up a FREE 7-day trial of our Premium Content to find out which high-priced Stud and Value options sit atop the expert’s list.

MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – May 10th (Main)

Wednesday night’s nine-game slate features some popular ace pitchers and heavily recommended stacks. Not much value on the pitching side with only one pitcher with a salary below $8,400. On the hitting side there four very popular stacks each with at least five players. Enjoy this free edition of the Consensus. If you like what […]

MLB – On the Hill – May 10 (Main)

While the afternoon slate on Wednesday was void of any ace-caliber pitchers, the nine-game night slate has four solid options to choose from. While I think all four could perform fairly well, the one I am going with may be the least owned out of all of them which could give you a distinct advantage in both Cash and GPP lineups. Meanwhile, there are a handful of good stacking options on the hitters’ side which should spread out the ownership percentages somewhat. Be sure to signup for a FREE 7-day trial to see who I like tonight.

MLB – On the Hill – May 10 (Early) – Quick Picks

With the addition of weekday “day game” slates to DailyOverlay, I will try to write a “Quick Picks” article for early slates that includes just the players without the writeups to give you some options. Wednesday includes a five-game afternoon slate that is void of any ace pitching options so we’ll need to load up on a few value options. Meanwhile, we do have a game at Coors Field (if the rain holds off) that we should have plenty of money to get exposure to.

MLB – On the Hill – May 9

There are about eight different offenses that I wanted to recommend for my Stacks today with a ton of gas can pitchers on the hill including Mike Pelfrey, Wily Peralta, Ubaldo Jimenez, Mike Bolsinger, Bartolo Colon, Chris Young and Tim Adleman, and I didn’t even mention the pitchers throw in Coors Field tonight. While it […]

MLB – On the Hill – May 8

Back for another week of MLB DFS action with a 10-game slate on Monday to start out the week. When analyzing tonight’s slate I have a feeling that there will be a lot of low scoring games as I like numerous pitchers. Also with the game at Coors Field threatened by rain and the Cubs […]

MLB – On the Hill – May 5

Cinco de Mayo brings us a 13-game night slate that is far more interesting than the Thursday night slate. There are numerous solid pitching options to choose from, plus a game at Coors Field to consider how many bats you can fit in. But Coors Field isn’t the only place to look for hitters with a few other good spots worth stacking up. It’s a good Friday night slate to grab a burrito and cerveza (if of age) and sit back and watch some baseball.

MLB – On the Hill (3 Up / 3 Down) – May 4 (Main)

What a horrible looking five-game Thursday night slate! Only five games of which two could get rained out (Brewers/Cardinals and Mets/Braves) and a severe lack of pitching options. In fact, there are only two pitching options I even want to touch so no “Darkhorse” pick for tonight. On the hitting side, I see four teams that I’m interested in stacking up so I will list all four with my three favorite hitters from each team. Look for a lot of similar lineups tonight which makes it a tough night to play. If you’re looking for a reason to take a day off from DFS, tonight’s slate has given you a reason. Spend some time with your wife, kids, significant other or do some yard work. If you “must” play than here is what I like.

MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – May 4th (Early)

Welcome to the first “early slate” Consensus article for MLB. We plan to start producing early slate Consensus articles when there is at least 4-5 games on the slate during weekdays. There is typically not quite as many expert sites that produce articles for the early slate but we have 14 for today’s six-game afternoon slate which still gives a good idea of who the DFS Industry Experts like.

The Weighted Consensus for the MLB is where we publish a more in-depth version of the MLB Consensus rankings every day that considers each expert’s current DailyOverlay score to generate a Weighted Consensus ranking.  To calculate the Weighted Rank Score, each expert’s DailyOverlay score for hitters and pitchers is weighted on a sliding scale from 1 to 5 with the top expert in the current standings being weighted with a five while the last place expert is weighted with a one. This method gives the higher rated expert’s picks more weight when compiling the overall player rankings for the day. We will include all players that generate a Rank Score of at least 6.0.

The MLB Weighted Consensus article will be part of the premium content every day expect Wednesday and the weekend this season. Sign up now for a FREE 7-day trial so you don’t miss any of the content here at DailyOverlay.

Scroll to the bottom of the article for the “Top Stacks” section that lists out the teams with the most hitters being recommended by the experts today. Also, be sure to check each team’s lineup when it is released and watch the weather before finalizing your lineups tonight.

Let’s play ball!
