On to the Week 3 grades, class is in session!

Consensus Recap – Week 3

The Consensus didn’t fare as well in Week 3 of the CFB season. A 2.22 score was good for 13th out of the 17 experts that submitted selections.

Overall (Score: 2.22 / Rank 13th out of 17) – Two of the 27 total plays scored an “A+” grade. Those were Kyler Murray and John Ursua.

Head of the Class – Week 2

Each week I will highlight a few of the top experts for the week. Here are the experts that deserve a “gold star” for Week 3 based on their cumulative grades for all players they touted this week.

#1) DK CFB Marketplace Projections (Score: 3.83) took home the top spot for Week 3 albeit the scores were significantly lower than last week. Five of their 12 plays scored an “A” or better including two “A+” grades. The “A+” grades came from Kyler Murray and John Ursua.

#2) Sporting News (Score: 3.56) found the top-3 again this week. Three of their nine plays scored an “A” or better with “A+’s” from Murray and Ursua, too.

#3) RotoGrinders Consensus (Score: 3.38) assumed the #3 spot for the 2nd week in a row. Five of the 13 plays scored “A” or better and two “A+” grades from Murray and Ursua.

Study Time – Week 3

If we are going to give a gold star to the top experts of the week, we also need to determine which experts might need to put in some extra study time to pull up those grades. Here are the Week 3 experts that didn’t make the grade this week.

  • DFS Army (Score: 1.00) made an impression this week but not in a good way. Five failing grades of their seven total plays.
  • Daily Overlay Single Pick (Score: 0.00) struck out again this week. Greg will look to get it on track this coming week.

Extra Credit – Week 3

In this section, I will look to give some extra credit to experts that received an A+ grade for a player where they were the lone expert to recommend. Week 3 extra credit goes to the following:

A+ – Tony Jones, Jr (DailyRoto)
A+ – Trace McSorley (Fantasy Alarm)

Head of the Class – Season

#2) CFBDynasty.com (Score: 4.17) makes their 2018 debut to the top-5 in a big way with a leap to 2nd place.
