We will be producing sample MLB lineups during the baseball season like we started doing during the NBA season. These lineups will follow a certain set of rules for Cash lineups and GPP lineups. Matt(FanDuel) and Brad(DraftKings) will be the primary creators of the lineups each day with Stephen joining in on occasion. We will track our results and provide a summary each week.
Here is a list of the “rules” we are following when constructing lineups:
- We will make two separate lineups for each site (FanDuel and DraftKings), one for Cash games and one for GPP tournaments.
- For Cash games, we will build our entire lineup from the Consensus list using any player listed regardless of what tier they are in.
- For GPP games, we are allowed to choose up to add 2-3 players that are not on the Consensus list to help complete a hitter stack or we consider to be a good play.
- We can modify any lineup as we see fit for any late-breaking lineup news that opens up good options even if they are not on the Consensus list.

Cash Game Lineup
Cash Narrative – With the split slate, it’s difficult to have to play a player from our Consensus tonight considering there were only a handful of players picked 3 times or more. One of those is Kershaw and he may be 60 percent owned tonight, but I don’t care because I don’t mess around with pitching. Anyway, I like the White Sox bats a lot more tonight with the news of Sonny Gray being scratched for lefty Rich Hill who struggled with this command in the spring.
GPP Lineup
GPP Narrative – The White Sox are on the table against a lefty, especially Abreu and Frazier, so they are my off-the-board plays tonight. I also squeezed in my BvP selection in Carlos Gonzalez, should be a night tourney play at that price and against Greinke. I was surprised Gerrardo Parra wasn’t on the Consensus considering he is up against his old team. I would’ve used him here if it hadn’t been for the news of Sonny Gray. A weird day of games today with all the weather troubles, hopefully everything is clean tonight.

Cash Game Lineup
Cash Narrative – Had to go with Kershaw in my cash lineup along with a lot of seemingly underpriced Blue Jays and a few of the cheapest value plays on our Consensus tonight like Crawford, Colabello and Lawrie.
GPP Lineup
GPP Narrative – Going to take a flier and *not* pitch Kershaw in my GPP lineup, big risk but could be a big reward if he struggles. The D’Back abound on the Consensus tonight, so I expect it to be a popular stack but sometimes the popular play is the right play. I also paired up a couple of middle of the lineup Rays and rounded out my lineup with my only “off the board” pick tonight going with Trout who I expect to be fairly lowly owned against Jake Arrieta.
