Baseball is back! The worst two days in sports have come and gone which means we are back in the swing of things. We’ve hovered around the same overall ROI number these last few weeks so let’s see if we can make a 2nd half push. With Brad on vacation, I’ll take the reigns for the next week. Stephen and I will mix it up on the DraftKings side of things with Stephen taking the first stab at it tonight.

Here is a list of the “rules” we are following when constructing lineups:

  1. We will make two separate lineups for each site (FanDuel and DraftKings), one for Cash games and one for GPP tournaments.
  2. For Cash games, we will build the core of our lineup from the Consensus list using any player listed regardless of what tier they are in and will be allowed to choose 1 player that is not on the Consensus list that we consider to be a good play.
  3. For GPP games, we are allowed to choose up to add 2-3 players that are not on the Consensus list to help complete a hitter stack or we consider to be a good play.
  4. We can modify any lineup as we see fit for any late-breaking lineup news that opens up good options even if they are not on the Consensus list.

As always be sure to check for late-breaking news regarding weather and lineups.

Cash Game Lineup

fd50507.15

Cash Narrative – I wanted to play Carrasco but I went with Archer in order to save some cash for the bats. Archer has been good at home this season and he gets the Orioles who strike out a lot. The problem? Archer gives up a ton of homers and the O’s swat a lot of those. I love the Reds tonight so you’ll see the Votto, Bruce, Duvall combo in both of my lineups. My off the board play is Grichuk, who occupies the top of the order tonight in STL.

GPP Lineup

 fdgpp7.15

GPP Narrative – I’ll play both of the stacks from the Consensus tonight with the above mentioned Reds and the Indians stack of Kipnis, Lindor and Ramirez. Off the board bats are Holliday, whose BA has to pick up considering all the hard outs he made the 1st half, and Barnhart to round out a 4-headed Reds monster. I’ll roll the dice with Stroman on the mound. He’s looked good in two July starts so let’s hope that keeps up.

Cash Game Lineup

DK Cash

Cash Narrative – I am filling in for Brad this week as he enjoys his vacation. I am doing four lineups, so I have spread out all the pitchers in different ways between DraftKings and FantasyDraft. I really like Stroman tonight despite it being the A’s who don’t strikeout as much as we would like, but they aren’t very good against RH pitching and it’s a pitchers park for Stro. I basically just went on the cheap here and I stayed true to the Consensus for this cash lineup, but I did not do so on FantasyDraft.

GPP Lineup

DK GPP

GPP Narrative – I have Archer as a tourney play on both sites and my only off-the-board play is JDLR against the Braves. It might be crazy to roll him out there but the Braves are still one of the worst offenses against lefties. I didn’t really stack much in this lineup, but you will see I like the Reds on my FantasyDraft GPP lineup.

Cash Game Lineup

Untitled Cash

Cash Narrative – I wanted to pair Stras and Bum together somewhere so this felt like the best place to do it. I did have to go off-the-board a couple of times, but that’s OK! Rules are made to be broken! (wink). My least favorite play is Jose Ramirez even though he is a strong BvP play (just not one of my picks).

GPP Lineup

 GPP

GPP Narrative – Reds stack and not looking back! We have Archer and Stroman again with a Charlie Blackmon play off-the-board and a mini strack of Miggy and Ian Kinsler. Good luck all!
