I guess we just needed Matt and I to get back to our “natural” sites as we both had strong Cash game lineups last night that cashed on FanDuel and DraftKings respectively. Tonight you will get a double-dose of Matt as he provides both FanDuel and FantasyDraft lineups with Stephen getting the night off.
Here is a list of the “rules” we are following when constructing lineups:
- We will make two separate lineups for each site (FanDuel and DraftKings), one for Cash games and one for GPP tournaments.
- For Cash games, we will build the core of our lineup from the Consensus list using any player listed regardless of what tier they are in and will be allowed to choose 1 player that is not on the Consensus list that we consider to be a good play.
- For GPP games, we are allowed to choose up to add 2-3 players that are not on the Consensus list to help complete a hitter stack or we consider to be a good play.
- We can modify any lineup as we see fit for any late-breaking lineup news that opens up good options even if they are not on the Consensus list.
As always be sure to check for late-breaking news regarding weather and lineups.
Entrant – Matt – FanDuel
Cash Game Lineup
Cash Narrative – Love the strikeout potential from Kluber tonight against a Rays lineup that K’s over 25% of the time against righties. Not typically a fan of stacks in the Cash game but ended up with three Rangers (Profar, Mazara, Choo). My off the board play was Nava, who is hitting cleanup in the Angels lineup at Minute Maid.
GPP Lineup
GPP Narrative – Let’s hope the state of Texas provides a lot of offense tonight. Stacks of Rangers (Fielder, Choo, Mazara) and Astros (Gattis, Altuve, Correa, Gomez) play alongside Nolan Arenado. Sonny Gray has been solid since coming off the DL. Let’s hope he can stay away from the one blow-up inning that has doomed him his last two starts. Fielder and Gomez were off the board plays to complete the stacks. Two guys that got off to extremely sluggish starts but have heated up.
Entrant – Brad- DraftKings
Cash Game Lineup
Cash Narrative – Seems like DK’s pricing algorithm is broken today with so many good hitters priced under $4000. My only hitter over $4000 tonight is Chris Davis at home against a weak righty, otherwise getting a ton of good hitters on the cheap. On the pitching side, paying up for Fernandez and going cheap with Gray at the pitcher spots as two fairly “safe” options.
GPP Lineup
GPP Narrative – Doubling down on my hitters with my GPP lineup tonight using the exact same bats as my Cash game lineup. On the pitching side, I drop down to Kluber who has big upside tonight which allows me to pay up with a high risk/reward option in Sale.
Entrant – Matt – FantasyDraft
Cash Game Lineup
Cash Narrative – You get a double dose of Matt for these next two nights as Stephen will take a couple days off. This lineup is laced with Rangers and Astros, too. No off the board plays needed.
GPP Lineup
GPP Narrative – I’ll play Aaron Nola in the GPP on FantasyDraft. He’s another pitcher that faces a strikeout-happy lineup in the Twins. Stacking Blue Jays and Astros in this lineup. Off the board plays are Calhoun and Carlos Gomez, who is white-hot recently.
