It has been a good week for our Industry Consensus lineups this week. We have cashed with 8 out of 9 Cash game lineups across the three sites and I have hit the money with my last two GPP lineups for DraftKings. Tonight we look to finish out the week strong and take everyone into the weekend with a little (or a lot) of extra money.

Here is a list of the “rules” we are following when constructing lineups:

  1. We will make two separate lineups for each site (FanDuel and DraftKings), one for Cash games and one for GPP tournaments.
  2. For Cash games, we will build the core of our lineup from the Consensus list using any player listed regardless of what tier they are in and will be allowed to choose 1 player that is not on the Consensus list that we consider to be a good play.
  3. For GPP games, we are allowed to choose up to add 2-3 players that are not on the Consensus list to help complete a hitter stack or we consider to be a good play.
  4. We can modify any lineup as we see fit for any late-breaking lineup news that opens up good options even if they are not on the Consensus list.

As always be sure to check for late-breaking news regarding weather and lineups.

Cash Game Lineup

fd50506.24

Cash Narrative – Well, I really wanted to get Scherzer in my Cash lineup; however, that was not possible to do under our rules. That being said, I’ll go out on a limb a bit with Taillon. I’m certainly not crazy about using him, and it doesn’t help that the Pirates have been getting shredded lately, but I will place my trust in our Weighted Consensus which said he’s the 2nd best option on the board. No off the board plays but there are a few late starts so I may need to pull a switcharoo or two.

GPP Lineup

GPP Narrative – I’ll go all in on the Jays tonight. They typically don’t hit as well on the road but I like the righties against Rodon. Peavy offers some great upside but also could completely s**t the bed. A stack of Diamondbacks, who have yet to post their lineup for the night, at Coors can hopefully provide a boost as well. Off the board play with Tommy Pham. Call it a hunch but I think he finds his way into Mike Matheny’s lineup tonight and does some damage against the lefty.

Cash Game & GPP Lineup

DK

Narrative – Just going with one lineup tonight in both Cash and GPPs as the Consensus List had very few value plays on DK tonight. I couldn’t even make a lineup with Max Scherzer in it, so I decided to go with two value pitching options who I like (Taillon & Tanaka) and then load up on bats. Also went with one off the board play, Contreras, batting cleanup again for the Cubs.

Cash Game Lineup

6-24-16 Cash

Cash Narrative – I fortunately have a lot of leeway on FantasyDraft to get Scherzer in both lineups. However, I am not following our rules completely because there are a couple of names that are severely underpriced for the upside and I can’t pass them up. I have to be smart, but I didn’t stray too much from the rules. I hate that I have no Red Sox in either lineup. The Rockies don’t have Trevor Story or CarGo in their lineup tonight, so Adames and Raburn are their “scratch replacements.” I am not crazy about Raburn, but Bradley is a reverse-splits pitcher, so it could pay off. You see McCutchen in both lineups. At $6,000 against former Ranger “great” Nick Tepesch is too good to pass up.

GPP Lineup

 6-24-16 GPP

GPP Narrative – I am playing this backward again I think. Sanchez is in a great spot and has been wonderful on the road. You can trust him in cash games, but his price is high. He probably should be in my cash game, but starting the top two priced pitchers on FD is certainly going to be a contrarian play. Again, Adames makes the cut here, McCutchen and Stanton are too cheap to pass up for the upside, then Phil Gosselin and Rob Refsnyder are here because I needed value and they are hitting 4th and 2nd, respectively. Castro, Neil Walker and Trout (as a pivot from Bryce Harper) make this lineup. I think Gosselin is a better play than Tomas who is batting EIGHTH! I don’t think people expected him to bat so low in the lineup when they made their picks, so I think Gosselin is rightly justified. Good luck all!
