Matt (FanDuel) and Stephen (FantasyDraft) carried the lineups yesterday both winning with their Cash and GPP lineups including a Top 3 finish by Stephen in a 427 entry tournament. I didn’t fare as well on DraftKings just missing extending my GPP streak to five missing out by just 0.55 points.  Let go get them again tonight!

Here is a list of the “rules” we are following when constructing lineups:

  1. We will make two separate lineups for each site (FanDuel and DraftKings), one for Cash games and one for GPP tournaments.
  2. For Cash games, we will build the core of our lineup from the Consensus list using any player listed regardless of what tier they are in and will be allowed to choose 1 player that is not on the Consensus list that we consider to be a good play.
  3. For GPP games, we are allowed to choose up to add 2-3 players that are not on the Consensus list to help complete a hitter stack or we consider to be a good play.
  4. We can modify any lineup as we see fit for any late-breaking lineup news that opens up good options even if they are not on the Consensus list.

As always be sure to check for late-breaking news regarding weather and lineups.

Cash Game Lineup

fd50506.29

Cash Narrative – Found the money last night in the Cash and GPP format so let’s keep it rolling. Carlos Martinez seems to be back on track and should be a safe play. Prince is picking up the pace and Carpenter is scorching hot! A few lineups yet to be posted so let’s hope I don’t need to make any switches.

GPP Lineup

GPP Narrative – I’ll deploy Martinez in both formats. Stacks of Pirates and Yankees tonight. Loney is the off the board play as a salary concession to make it work.

Entrant – Brad- DraftKings

Cash Game Lineup

Cash

Cash Narrative – Going with two higher priced pitchers again tonight with Salazar and Martinez. I was able to save some salary with Pena as a minimum priced punt play at SS so I was able to get numerous solid top of the lineup bats from the Consensus list.

GPP Lineup

GPP

GPP Narrative – Rolling with two high strikeout upside pitchers that both have some risk including paying up for Scherzer and going cheap with Stewart making his first big league start. On the hitting side, I put together a mini-stack of White Sox including a cheap off the board play in Navarro batting fifth tonight. I also grabbed a pair of Mariners from the Consensus (Cano/Cruz) and rounded out my hitting with McCutchen, Seager and an off the board Thompson all who have two home run upside.

Entrant – Stephen- FantasyDraft

Cash Game Lineup

6-29 Cash

Cash Narrative – Not a fan of Carlos versus the Royals, a team that doesn’t strike out a ton. However, I am rolling with it anyway and I feel I was able to really plug my lineup with some names pairing him with Salazar tonight. Hard to play Giants when the lineup isn’t posted yet, but I am going to roll with Posey and Pena anyway.

GPP Lineup

6-29- GPP

GPP Narrative – I am happy about placing 3rd in this $1 Single last night on FantasyDraft. My lineup was loaded and not being tied down to certain positions made that possible, thus with Coors and everything else, it paid off well. Now I am going a different direction tonight. With a short slate, I feel pairing Salazar and Scherzer will be a contrarian play despite high ownerships from both. Because of this method, I was unable to put any Yankees in my lineup which might be a death sentence. However, I was able to play 3 off-the-board Rangers, who are red hot and up against Tanaka who doesn’t strike out a bunch of bats and has ridiculous home/road splits. Yes, I had to go 3 off-the-board plays instead of two, but I wanted to make this work and was running out of time. Good luck all!
