Here are tonight’s lineups for a big 14-game slate of MLB action. Both Matt and I are utilizing our new Cash game rule tonight where we can take one off the board pick to help allow us to pay up for some top pitchers. The change should help give us more flexibility and result in better lineups.
Here is a list of the “rules” we are following when constructing lineups:
- We will make two separate lineups for each site (FanDuel and DraftKings), one for Cash games and one for GPP tournaments.
- For Cash games, we will build the core of our lineup from the Consensus list using any player listed regardless of what tier they are in and will be allowed to choose 1 player that is not on the Consensus list that we consider to be a good play.
- For GPP games, we are allowed to choose up to add 2-3 players that are not on the Consensus list to help complete a hitter stack or we consider to be a good play.
- We can modify any lineup as we see fit for any late-breaking lineup news that opens up good options even if they are not on the Consensus list.
As always be sure to check for late-breaking news regarding weather and lineups.
Entrant – Matt – FanDuel
Cash Game Lineup
Cash Narrative – I am in the midst of a massive dry spell…have to get this thing turned around. This is the lineup to do it (or at least I hope so). Harvey should provide a big number which is a good start. My off the board play is Soler hitting in the #2 spot in a loaded Cubs lineup.
GPP Lineup
GPP Narrative – The Consensus said to stack Mets and Jays so that’s what I’ll be doing this evening. Throw in my two off the board plays of Hamilton and Barnhart to somewhat make a third mini-stack. Moore provides strikeout upside.
Entrant – Brad- DraftKings
Cash Game Lineup
Cash Narrative – Getting two of my favorite pitchers tonight was made possible by the dirt cheap Danny Santana batting leadoff for the Twins and plugging in an off-the-board play at catcher with Realmuto shockingly batting leadoff tonight against a lefty.
GPP Lineup
GPP Narrative – Going with the chalk stacks tonight with the Blue Jays and Mets and adding in an off-the-board pick with Navarro at catcher. Decided to pay up for Arrieta in my GPP lineup also and pair him with Tropeano who was my Darkhorse pick in my On the Hill article today.
Entrant – Stephen- FantasyAces
Cash Game Lineup
Cash Narrative – So I don’t think this is a very cash-game friendly lineup. I have lots of Mets, and despite the juice matchup, it’s all or nothing. I’ve missed the boat on the Mets in the last couple of weeks and I feel like I am chasing points tonight. I hope that is not the case against the Braves and Matt Wisler’s +.400 wOBA vs. lefties.
GPP Lineup
GPP Narrative – So I am not a fan of the pitching options tonight, and again this is an instance where I feel I am chasing success. Both Tropeano and Wright have been pitching well, but they won’t always do so. I hope tonight isn’t the night they each get knocked around. I like the Rays against Kazmir. Forsythe is a BvP candidate that wasn’t on my list of suggestions, but he has 3 walks against Kaz, which is something I like to see. Casali is the catcher and he is my punt to load up with bats. If you read my BvP write-up today, you can see I am loading up with big bats that I liked. I love the Marlins/D-Backs game and think many players from there go underowned. If you haven’t noticed, I am pulling the full Arrieta fade tonight. The Pirates don’t strikeout very much, thus that doesn’t justify his price for me and a lot of people will be on him. Could blow up in my face or reap rewards, there’s no middle ground IMO. Good luck!
