Just a quick set of picks for a full 15-game Tuesday’s slate.
Ace
Danny Salazar (FD-$10,300 / DK-$11,300)
With Noah Syndergaard and Jake Arrieta facing each other, I’ll pivot to Salazar who has pitched very well in his career against the Royals including 15+ innings allowing just one run with 18 strikeouts over two starts this season.
Value
Carlos Martinez (FD-$9,400 / DK-$10,200)
Martinez will pitch at home against a Padres’ team that ranks in the bottom four in K%, wOBA and wRC+ against righties this season.
Jameson Taillon (FD-$7,200 / DK-$8,800)
Taillon has had his ups-and-downs over his first five big league starts but could have an “up” start on Tuesday against a Brewers’ team that has struck out a league-worst 26.2% against righties this season.
Darkhorse
Cody Reed (FD-$6,000 / DK-$8,100)
Reed hasn’t gotten off to the best start to his big league career with a 8.39 ERA over his first five starts. However, he does have a 3.80 SIERA and 10.58 K/9 and will face a Braves’ team that ranks in the bottom two in wOBA, ISO and wRC+ against lefties this season.
