We have a strange MLB schedule on Thursday with the primary slate coming in the morning with six games on the docket for the early slate on DraftKings (5 games on FanDuel). Ace
Stephen Strasburg (FD-$11,000 / DK-$11,100)
Strasburg has recorded at least seven strikeouts in nine of his 10 starts this season for a 32.0% strikeout rate while posting a 2.62 xFIP. He has performed well against Mets hitters over his career allowing just a .267 wOBA with a 26.9% strikeout rate over 119 plate appearances. Look to Strasburg to anchor your cash game lineup.
Value
Jordan Lyles (FD-$9,000 / DK-$8,500)
The secondary options on the slate are a little dicey but I have been a believer in Lyles all season going back to when I recommended him in his 3rd start of the season (April 19th). He is coming off a dominating 12-strikeout performance against the Padres and has allowed two or fewer runs in seven of his eight starts. He’ll face a Rockies team that is below average on the road against righties.
Darkhorse
Ryan Weber (FD-$5,500 / DK-$5,900)
Weber will be making his first start of the season which could limit how deep he can get into the game. However, he did throw 63 pitches in his last relief appearance so 75-80 pitches could be in play which might get him through 5-6 innings against the Blue Jays who rank 28th in wOBA (.286) and wRC+ (77) against righties this year.
