With a full 15-game MLB slate on Tuesday night, I am going to extend my hitting stack recommendations for tonight with a different method to fill out your GPP lineups. Pitching will have my traditional “3 Up” options but be warned it isn’t pretty on the pitching side tonight.

Let’s mow down the competition 3 Up and 3 Down…
3 Up
Ace
Eduardo Rodriguez (FD-$8,500 / DK-$11,100)
Rodriguez salary is a little high on DraftKings but there aren’t a lot of safe Cash game options available on the slate so I’ll probably still pay up for him. He has allowed two or fewer runs in four straight starts and will face an Orioles offense that didn’t score in 12 innings last night. They also have the 3rd lowest wOBA (.265) and 2nd lowest wRC+ (63) against lefties over the last 30 days. With a good matchup and as a sizable Vegas favorite, E-Rod is one of the safer options on the slate.
Value
Jon Gray (FD-$7,500 / DK-$8,000)
Gray has pitched better outside of Coors Field this season and will take to the road on Tuesday in Philadelphia. He comes in as an underdog against Aaron Nola but will be facing a Phillies offense that has the highest strikeout rate (26.9%) against right-handed pitchers over the last 30 days while also ranking in the bottom seven in wOBA and wRC+. Gray is a solid #2 SP option on two-pitcher sites in Cash games and GPPs.
Darkhorse
Austin Pruitt (FD-$5,600 / DK-$4,300)
It should be Pruitt’s turn to pitch long relief after the “setup starter” pitches the first inning on Tuesday against the Blue Jays. Pruitt has performed pretty well in the new role with a 3.52 ERA in his last four outings. The Blue Jays have the 10th highest strikeout rate (24.0%) against righties this season. It is a roll of the dice but on a night where I want to spend up for some expensive bats, Pruitt offers a path to make that happen in GPPs.
3 Down
Top Stacks
Indians vs. James Shields
Okay, here is the methodology to build you GPP lineups tonight:
Step 1: Pick your favorite 3 to 5-man stack that isn’t the Indians and plug them into your lineup
Step 2: Plug in Indians hitters for each of the remaining open positions
Step 3: Fill in the best two pitchers you can find with whatever salary you have left
Step 4: Rinse and repeat for every GPP lineup you build
The Indians are in a great spot against Shields and have a great mix of high-priced studs and value throughout their lineup. Here are the eight players to consider assuming they are all in the lineup.
Jose Ramirez (FD-$5,200 / DK-$5,500)
Francisco Lindor (FD-$4,900 / DK-$5,000)
Michael Brantley (FD-$4,300 / DK-$4,700)
Yonder Alonso (FD-$3,600 / DK-$3,600)
Greg Allen (FD-$2,900 / DK-$3,300)
Lonnie Chisenhall (FD-$2,700 / DK-$3,900)
Melky Cabrera (FD-$2,600 / DK-$3,300)
Francisco Mejia (FD-$NA / DK-$3,100)
Red Sox vs. David Hess
Hess has pitched well over his last three starts but gave up five runs in 4+ innings including three homers against the Red Sox earlier this season. Hess has allowed a .367 wOBA to lefties this season and both lefties and righties have a HR/9 rate over 1.69 against him.
Mookie Betts (FD-$4,500 / DK-$5,800) – Betts has returned from the DL and will occupy his usual leadoff spot.
JD Martinez (FD-$5,000 / DK-$5,500) – Martinez hit two homers off Hess in the earlier meeting.
Andrew Benintendi (FD-$4,700 / DK-$5,700) – Benintendi homered in the earlier meeting off Hess.
Mitch Moreland (FD-$4,000 / DK-$4,500) – Moreland had a .419 wOBA and .315 ISO against righties this season.
Contrarian Stack
Reds vs. Ian Kennedy
Kennedy has been prone to the blow-up start this season allowing five or more runs in four of his last six starts. He has allowed a .414 wOBA and 2.45 HR/9 at home against lefties this season. Warmer temps in KC won’t help his cause against the Reds lefty bats.
Scooter Gennett (FD-$4,000 / DK-$4,800) – Gennett is 4-for-10 with a homer off Kennedy in his career.
Scott Schebler (FD-$3,400 / DK-$4,200) – Schebler has a .356 wOBA and .260 ISO on the road against righties this season.
Joey Votto (FD-$4,300 / DK-$4,300) – Votto has five multi-hit games over his last seven starts.
Jesse Winker (FD-$2,900 / DK-$3,600) – Winker is batting .407 with two homers over his last seven games.
