Just a small five-game MLB slate on most sites Wednesday night. This makes for limited options to use on the hill and to stack. Give a look to a free writeup of my top plays for Wednesday night.

Let’s mow down the competition 3 Up and 3 Down…
3 Up
Ace
James Paxton (FD-$9,600 / DK-$9,000)
Paxton has been shaky at times over his five starts with a 6.04 ERA, but he has just a 3.35 xFIP during that stretch. He has also kept his strikeout stuff posting a 34.5% strikeout rate in those outings. Paxton should see some positive regression on Wednesday night against an Orioles squad that has a league-high 30.7% strikeout rate against lefties over the last 30 days. Coming in as a huge Vegas favorite, Paxton should have the highest floor/ceiling combo of the slate.
Value
Trevor Williams (FD-$6,900 / DK-$7,600)
Finding a value option is a challenge on the small slate. While the Brewers hit righties pretty well, they have struggled with Williams over his career. In 70 career plate appearances by the Brewers current collection of hitters, they have a minuscule .177 wOBA with a 27.1% strikeout rate. I’m willing to take a shot that Williams can keep his domination of the Brew Crew chugging along and save me some salary along the way.
Darkhorse
Zac Gallen (FD-$8,400 / DK-$9,200)
Gallen has pitched great for the Marlins this season with a 2.72 ERA and 28.5% strikeout rate through seven starts. He will be making his Diamondbacks debut on Wednesday in Arizona against the Phillies. While I do have some regression concerns with the negative park adjustment and his 4.46 xFIP, on the small slate I’m willing to roll the dice with Gallen in GPPs.
3 Down
Top Stacks
Red Sox vs. Glenn Sparkman
Sparkman has allowed 18 runs over his last three starts including six homers. Left-handed hitters have produced a .457 wOBA and 3.98 HR/9 off him on the road this season, while righties have produced a .412 wOBA and 2.08 HR/9. Load up on the Red Sox!
Rafael Devers (FD-$4,400 / DK-$5,600)
Mookie Betts (FD-$4,300 / DK-$5,200)
Andrew Benintendi (FD-$3,900 / DK-$5,300)
Mitch Moreland (FD-$3,200 / DK-$4,100)
Padres vs. Yusei Kikuchi
The Padres put up nine runs against the Mariners last night and I expect them to keep it rolling against southpaw Kikuchi on Wednesday night. He has surrendered a .359 wOBA and 1.97 HR/9 to right-handed hitters this year and the Padres have some lefty mashers in their lineup.
Manny Machado (FD-$4,000 / DK-$4,300)
Hunter Renfroe (FD-$3,000 / DK-$4,300)
Fernando Tatis Jr. (FD-$4,300 / DK-$5,100)
Wil Myers (FD-$2,700 / DK-$3,700)
One-Offs
Aaron Judge (FD-$4,200 / DK-$4,800) – Judge has been mashing lefties this season with a .456 wOBA and .263 ISO.
Ketel Marte (FD-$4,000 / DK-$5,000) – Marte has seven hits over his last four games and a .422 wOBA at home against southpaws.
Eduardo Escobar (FD-$4,100 / DK-$4,600) – Escobar has had his way with left-handed pitching this year with a .410 wOBA and .288 ISO.
Trent Grisham (FD-$2,500 / DK-$3,200) – Grisham is cheap and could hit leadoff again with a righty on the hill.
