Whether you are just waking up from a turkey hangover or you are waiting in line for a Black Friday sale consider putting in a lineup or two or 10 for Friday night’s nine-game NBA slate. It is a fun looking slate where you will want to get some exposure to the Pelicans/Suns game which features the highest Vegas total of the night by a longshot. However, I have my eye on another matchup with a much lower Vegas total between the Knicks and Hawks to get a large portion of my lineup.

The grid below is a snapshot of today’s slate that shows the overall rating for each position for each team. The numbers highlighted in red are the positions that are in the top 25% of their position for the slate and indicate good plays. Meanwhile, the numbers highlighted in blue are the positions that are in the bottom 25% of their respective position for the slate and are positions to avoid.
Hot Sheet for November 24th
Droppin’ Dimes
Anthony Davis (NO) – If we are getting exposure to the Pelicans/Suns game then paying up for one of the Pelicans’ twin towers makes sense. I’ll give Davis the edge as the Suns have allowed the most points and rebounds to opposing PFs this season.
Kristaps Porzingis (NY) – Power forward might be a position to pay up for tonight by also scooping up Porzingis. He faces a Hawks’ team that in addition to allowed top 10 production in points and rebounds to opposing PFs, they also give up the most assists and steals to the position. Porzingis is the start of my Knicks/Hawks game stack.
Victor Oladipo (IND) – Oladipo is coming off a huge fantasy day on Wednesday where he scored 29 points with nine rebounds, five assists and seven steals against the Magic. Now he faces a Raptors’ team that just allowed Tim Hardaway Jr. to light them up for 38 points on Wednesday. The offense flows through Oladipo who should get plenty of touches in a close game with the 2nd highest Vegas total on the slate.
TJ Warren (PHO) – We need to get some exposure to the Suns side of their matchup with the Pelicans and Warren is in a perfect spot to roster. The Pelicans give up top 10 production in every offensive category (points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks) to opposing SFs. Warren has topped 20 points in five of his last seven games.
Dennis Schroder (ATL) – Much like Oladipo in Indiana, the offense flows through Schroder in Atlanta. Schroder will score his typical points in his matchup with the Knicks on Friday but the secondary stats is where he will really rack up the fantasy points against a Knicks’ team that allows the 5th most rebounds, 3rd most assists, 9th most steals and the most blocks to opposing PGs this season.
Tim Hardaway Jr. (NY) – Hardaway just lit up the Raptors on Wednesday with 38 points and now gets a #revenge game spot as he returns to Atlanta to face the Hawks. He doesn’t have the easiest matchup against solid wing defenders in Atlanta but the motivation to play well and the confidence he will have coming off a big game should help carry him to good fantasy production while still reasonably priced.
John Collins (ATL) – Collins has seen his minutes rise into the mid-30s over the last two games while the Hawks are missing a couple of big men. He has produced averaging 17.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in those two games. He will need to stay out of foul trouble in a tough matchup with Porzingis but his salary and minutes expectation make him a great value.
Mario Chalmers (MEM) – Chalmers continues to run the point with Mike Conley out in Memphis. He is playing around 30 minutes a night and stuffing the stat sheet with points, rebounds and assists every night. Chalmers has a solid matchup against the Nuggets that have allowed the 9th most points, 5th most assists and 2nd most steals to opposing PGs.
Bojan Bogdanovic (IND) – Bogdanovic is hot from the field right now so ride the hot streak for a low priced option. He has shot over 50% in each of his last four games while averaging 20.8 points per game including 18 three-pointers. His outside hot streak should continue against a Raptors’ team that has allowed the 2nd highest 3PT% to opposing SFs this season. Splash!
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (CHA) – Kidd-Gilchrist gets plenty of minutes in the Hornets rotation. The minutes don’t always translate into fantasy production but a matchup with the Cavaliers should allow him to pile up some digits. The Cavs have allowed the 4th most points and 5th most assists to opposing SFs. MKG scored 22 points with six assists, two blocks and two steals against the Cavs earlier this season.
