If there was a showdown matchup to skip, this Thursday’s tilt between the Titans and Jaguars might be it. The game has a Vegas total under 40 as both teams struggle to typically struggle to score points and aren’t very fantasy-friendly. With that ringing endorsement, below you can find my plays for the “showdown” in Jacksonville.
Monday night saw my Cash game team win in Double-Ups and cash in 71% of my head-to-head contests. My GPP lineup didn’t cash. For the season, my Cash lineup has won in three of five matchups with my GPP lineup cashing in two of five games.

Tennessee Titans @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Team | QB | RB | Right | Slot | Left | TE | D | K | Vegas |
Tennessee Titans | 47 | 52 | 46 | 38 | 52 | 57 | 57 | 62 | -1.5 |
Jacksonville Jaguars | 45 | 43 | 38 | 35 | 38 | 47 | 38 | 41 | 39 |
King
- Leonard Fournette – It was a toss-up between Fournette and Derrick Henry for the King slot but I’m going to give the edge to Fournette. Fournette is at home and I feel he is more game script proof then Henry as Fournette has been targeted six times in each of the first two games and he’ll rack up the carries if the Jaguars have the lead.
Cash Core
- Derrick Henry – While Henry got edged out for Fournette as the King, I still want exposure to him as the primary offensive threat on the Titans offense. The Jaguars run defense ranks 28th DVOA through two games and has allowed 4.65 YPC (20th) to RBs.
- Both D/ST – In a game that should be a low-scoring defensive affair, it makes sense to load up with both team’s D/ST. The Titans have been good at pressuring the QB but have also allowed a lot of pressure on Mariota. Win-Win for both defenses.
- Who else? – After stacking up the running game’s and defense then round out your lineup with a QB from one team and a Kicker from the other team
GPP
I have a sneaking suspicion that the Jaguars could win big on Thursday night at home. They have played two of the top teams in the AFC in their first two games and need a win. So, consider going with a Jaguars onslaught that includes Gardner Minshew, Leonard Fournette, the Jaguars D/ST, along with a couple of Jaguars pass catchers and Delanie Walker on the Titans side.
Best Bet
Jaguars +1.5
