NBA – Hot Sheet – January 2

Wednesday delivers a sizable nine-game slate of NBA action. It might be a night to fade the high-priced studs although you can fit them in if you wish. A balanced lineup approach focusing in on a couple of teams that are missing their superstar players is how my lineup build is shaping up right now pending any late-breaking news. Some players that just missed the cut on my list tonight includes: Kemba Walker, Tyus Jones, Devin Booker, Trevor Ariza, DeMarre Carroll, Joel Embiid, Karl-Anthony Towns and DeAndre Jordan. Be sure to sign up to see who did make my list of Droppin’ Dimes selections for Wednesday’s slate.

The grid below is a snapshot of today’s slate that shows the overall rating for each position for each team. The numbers highlighted in red are in the top 25% of their position for the slate and indicate good plays. Meanwhile, the numbers highlighted in blue are the positions that are in the bottom 25% of their respective position for the slate and are positions to avoid.

NBA – Hot Sheet – January 1

Happy New Year! Whether you had a great 2018 or one to forget, let’s kickoff the new year on a positive note with Tuesday’s five-game NBA slate. All five games have a Vegas total of at least 210 points but there are two matchups with a total over 230 points including the Blazers/Kings and Sixers/Clippers. I find myself deploying a balanced lineup construction on this slate but that could change if Joel Embiid is given the green light to suit up and play his full complement of minutes.

NBA – Industry Expert Consensus – December 21st

Friday night on the NBA hardwood brings us a 10-game slate of action. There are still a bunch of players who are questionable to play, so be sure you are checking the newswire before plugging players into your DFS lineup from tonight’s Weighted Consensus List. Checking Vegas there are only three games with a total over 220 points but there are a bunch of close lines so there should be some good back and forth action.

The Weighted Consensus for the NBA uses each expert’s current DailyOverlay score to generate a Weighted Consensus ranking. To calculate the Weighted Rank Score, each expert’s DailyOverlay score for players is weighted on a sliding scale from 1 to 5 with the top expert in the current standings being weighted with a five while the last place expert is weighted with a one. This method gives the higher rated experts picks more weight when compiling the overall player rankings for the day. We will include all players that generate a Rank Score of at least 10.0.

NFL – Hot Sheet – Week 16 (Sunday/Monday)

With the holiday fast approaching, we have a solid Week 16 NFL slate to dissect. I took a look at the two Saturday games in an earlier (free!) NFL Hot Sheet, so go find it and give it a read if you haven’t already. This NFL Hot Sheet will take us through the rest of the week’s matchups including the full Sunday slate along with the Sunday and Monday night primetime games.

This will be my last full game-by-game breakdown of the regular season since with the holidays and travel I’ll be short on time next week. But still, watch for an abbreviated Hot Sheet with just my top DFS plays for Week 17. Alright, enough housekeeping, onto the Week 16 breakdowns!
