MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – May 3rd (Early)

We have a split slate on Thursday with six afternoon games (five on FanDuel). The expert consensus rankings are pretty straightforward with which players should be considered on the small slate with high-priced pitchers leading the way so be sure to find the value hitters on the list to pair with them.

The Weighted Consensus for the MLB is where we publish an in-depth version of rankings every day that considers each expert’s current DailyOverlay score to generate a Weighted Consensus ranking.  To calculate the Weighted Rank Score, each expert’s DailyOverlay score for hitters and pitchers is weighted on a sliding scale from 1 to 5 with the top expert in the current standings being weighted with a five while the last place expert is weighted with a one. This method gives the higher rated experts picks more weight when compiling the overall player rankings for the day. We will include all players that generate a Rank Score of at least 8.0.

The MLB Weighted Consensus article will be part of the premium content, so sign up now for a FREE 7-day trial so you don’t miss any of the content here at DailyOverlay.

MLB – On the Hill – Thursday (May 3) – Early Slate

Thursday bring us another split slate with six afternoon games for a six-game slate on DraftKings (five on FanDuel minus the Diamondback/Dodgers). The weather could also play a factor this afternoon as temps are starting to heat up and the wind seems like it is blowing out at least 10 mph in almost every matchup. […]

MLB – On the Hill – Wednesday (May 2) – Main Slate

There are a lot of good value pitching options on Wednesday night’s eight-game slate so instead of recommending one Ace and one Value option I will be recommending two Value options and no Ace tonight. This will allow you to pay up for bats, so while I will still recommend three different stacks I will likely not be building lineups with full stacks but instead more of a “suited connectors” (mini-stack) construction in GPPs.

MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – May 1st

Tuesday consists of a big 14-game MLB DFS slate with five Ace pitching options to choose from. Find out who the DFS Industry Experts recommended the most and which value options to consider. Even with all of the Aces on the mound there are still plenty of stacking opportunities with seven teams that have at least three hitters on the tonight’s Consensus Rankings.

MLB – On the Hill – Tuesday (May 1)

Monday’s slate didn’t go quite as planned with only five runs in the Windy City and a lot of landmines with the chalky pitching options. We’ll look to return to some normalcy on Tuesday’s big 14-game MLB DFS slate that features five high-priced Ace pitching options to choose from, plus more games with the wind blowing out including Wrigley Field. Which Ace pitcher should you choose and do we go right back to stacking Wrigley even after the letdown yesterday? Those questions and more answered in today’s “On the Hill”.

MLB – On the Hill – Monday (April 30)

Monday’s 10-game MLB DFS slate brings us to the end of April with a full month of the season already in the books. Monday looks like an entertaining slate with some solid pitching options at a variety of price points and a bunch of good teams to consider stacking either playing in a good hitting environment or facing a gas can pitcher. Let’s start off the week on a high note to maintain my lead in the MLB Expert Rankings for hitters.

MLB – On the Hill – Friday (April 27)

Friday night brings us a big 14-game MLB slate. There are numerous high-priced pitchers to choose from but one guy stood out to me over the rest. Finding a value option to pair him with on two-pitcher sites proves to be a little more difficult but I believe I have found my guy. There are plenty of teams worth considering for stacks on a big slate with a bunch of gas can pitchers on the hill. This should help spread out ownership even on the more obvious ones.
