Coming off a solid week of lineups last week, we will look to produce some more winners this week. Tonight’s slate features nine games including a game at Coors Field that seems to be going overlooked with so many other good hitter matchups and values, which has led to me breaking the rules again with my DraftKings GPP lineup (it worked well last time).
Here is a list of the “rules” we are following when constructing lineups:
- We will make two separate lineups for each site (FanDuel and DraftKings), one for Cash games and one for GPP tournaments.
- For Cash games, we will build the core of our lineup from the Consensus list using any player listed regardless of what tier they are in and will be allowed to choose 1 player that is not on the Consensus list that we consider to be a good play.
- For GPP games, we are allowed to choose up to add 2-3 players that are not on the Consensus list to help complete a hitter stack or we consider to be a good play.
- We can modify any lineup as we see fit for any late-breaking lineup news that opens up good options even if they are not on the Consensus list.

Cash Game Lineup
Cash Narrative – Both lineups found the money on Friday so let’s continue the streak and start the week with a bang. The Giants have lost three of Cueto’s last four starts as they have skidded to a halt. I see a turnaround of fortunes for Johnny in Miami this evening. The Dodgers should destroy Zach Eflin and you’ll see a healthy dose of them in my GPP lineup but I’ll stick with AGon and Turner here. Tony Kemp leads off for the ‘Stros in Minny tonight which should provide some opportunities for him to score some runs…of course, he has to get on base first.

GPP Narrative – I’m actually on a two night win streak on the GPP side and I think this lineup continues the winning ways. Wacha always rattles my nerves but I like the matchup tonight against a team he beat in his last start. The Cardinals stink at home and will need a solid start from him to right the skid they are on. Stacks of Cardinals in the lineup portion as well as I’ll play the 1-2-3 punch of Carpenter, Piscotty and Holliday. My other stack is Dodgers (Gonzalez, Turner, Seager) and, as I noted above, I think they will lay into Eflin. My only off the board play is Matt Kemp…call it a hunch.

Cash Narrative – With some many good values on the hitting side, I was able to pay up for Fernandez and pair him with Davies. I considered Wacha but prefer Davies since I was able to make the salary work out. As I said there are a lot of good values on the hitting side available to choose from on the Consensus list. My only off the board play is Tony Kemp batting leadoff for only $2,900.
GPP Lineup
GPP Narrative – It isn’t very often that the Rockies playing at home don’t show up on the Consensus list, but that is the case tonight with Cole Hamels on the hill. The Rockies still have the second highest implied run total and Hamels hasn’t been great against righties this season, so I am going to stack up the Rockies’ righties who are all off the board plays except for Arenado. For my remaining hitters, I put together a mini Astros stack featuring Correa and Springer with Tony Kemp again. I might be going too contrarian with this lineup but I also grabbed Cueto instead of Fernandez and paired him with Urias who is a true wild card tonight with a good matchup but question around how deep into the game he will be allowed to pitch.

Cash Narrative – I am rally liking my lineups tonight, which probably means they will fail miserably. Fernandez and Urias are my pitchers here and the chalk tonight is likely a combo of Orioles and Cardinals. I will get into Coors in my GPP lineup, but Beltre is way too cheap as is Bautista who is 1-for-19 against Odorizzi but with 8 walk (thus why he’s in my cash game lineup.

GPP Narrative – Cole Hamels has been much better away from home and I don’t think the Rockies are that great against lefties, especially without Story. Hamels eats up left bats thus rendering all of those bats useless, for me, until the late innings. Hamels is off the board, is super cheap and should be able to rack up strikeouts to help his floor. I am also surprised by the lack of love for the Tigers who have hit an aging Iwakuma well, so Kinsler and Miggy get the nod as off-the-board plays as well. Stacking Rangers with Hamels too because I like them despite Tyler Anderson having pitched fairly well early in his career.
