With a huge Friday night slate of MLB action, we are also bringing you three sets of lineups to look over and decide which plays or combination you like for your own lineups tonight. Matt cashed in both his Cash game and GPP lineups last night and Stephen’s Cash game lineups are a perfect 4-for-4 so far this season. Meanwhile, I will look to recreate the Friday magic that pulled me out of a rough week last week again tonight.
Here is a list of the “rules” we are following when constructing lineups:
- We will make two separate lineups for each site (FanDuel and DraftKings), one for Cash games and one for GPP tournaments.
- For Cash games, we will build our entire lineup from the Consensus list using any player listed regardless of what tier they are in.
- For GPP games, we are allowed to choose up to add 2-3 players that are not on the Consensus list to help complete a hitter stack or we consider to be a good play.
- We can modify any lineup as we see fit for any late-breaking lineup news that opens up good options even if they are not on the Consensus list.
As always be sure to check for late-breaking news regarding weather and lineups.
Entrant – Matt – FanDuel
Cash Game Lineup
Cash Narrative – Would have liked to have inserted one of the big aces in the Cash lineup; however, Garrett Richards against an awful Twins team might be just as good.
GPP Lineup
GPP Narrative – C’mon Rangers! My two off the board plays are both Rangers so that I could stack against Vance Worley. Pairing the two hottest hitters in the Cardinals lineup with that stack along with Lucroy and Trumbo (who has been hitting some moonshots.) As for the P slot, I’ll play Martinez as I think he has big strikeout potential even facing the Reds who do not swing and miss a ton.
Entrant – Stephen- FanDuel
Cash Game Lineup
Cash Narrative – For the sake of the Consensus, Kershaw was too difficult to manipulate into a cash or GPP lineup using our Consensus. Kershaw is my favorite pitcher of the evening, but I also like a myriad of other pitchers, including Carlos Martinez. As you can see, my lineup is stacked with Rangers and Orioles, so for a cash game that’s boom or bust, but I like what I like and that’s all that I like.
GPP Lineup
GPP Narrative – Greinke was one of three BvP pitchers I loved today. He’s up against the Padres and their 16 whiff-performance from yesterday and Greinke is due to bounce back. Beltre and Lindor are my off-the-board plays and I am sticking to my guns with many from the Oriole/Ranger game. Love Robbie Cano against his former team, too. Caleb Joseph is my “scratch” replacement since Wieters is out. It’s not perfect in my eyes, but it could at least cash. I’m hopeful fading Bautista, Harper, Cutch, and many other big boppers doesn’t come back to bite me. Good luck everyone!
Entrant – Brad- DraftKings
Cash Game Lineup
Cash Narrative – Trying to stick to the top Consensus hitters again tonight which means that I need to pay down at starting pitcher somewhat. I do expect both Martinez and Ross to be solid and not hurt me.
GPP Lineup
GPP Narrative – Going with my “Suited Connectors” concept tonight in my GPP lineups with Mazara(2) and Fielder(3), Gordon(1) and Yelich(3), and Correa(3) and Rasmus(4). Rounding out my lineup are two decent value plays with HR upside both batting cleanup in their respective lineups (McCann and Garcia). On the hill tonight, I am going with two cheaper upside pitchers including Rich Hill who I think could be a sneaky cheap option tonight.
